Principal and Senior Project Manager
Construction is in my bloodline and runs deep, like the roots of a tree. The saying that the apple does not fall far from the tree is 100% accurate. My initial construction family consisted of my brothers, father, my mother, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
I have grown up on a construction site, as my father built our first house while we lived on site. Years later, the tradition continued with my brothers and myself assisting with the next two houses. I learned how to read and create architectural plans by watching and working with architects in the local area. My father and grandfather were always quick to correct any and all errors.
I can remember my father handing hammers to myself and my brothers, putting us in competition with each other. The goal was to hammer as many nails into a piece of wood as quickly as possible, with accuracy. No bent nails! Fun and a learning lesson all in one: not hurting yourself, and achieving both quantity and quality.
All of my family has branched out into different venues of the construction world. I started my own business in high school, completing smaller tasks on weekends and vacations, earning credits and an income to be able to continue my love of construction. I joined the Carpenters Union, and this allowed me to become a Journeyman within a short two-year timeframe (usually a four-year program). I worked for Olympic Constructors, doing primarily commercial projects.
The company gave me the opportunity to move to Alaska and complete two theatre remodels in Southeast Alaska. I caught the Alaska bug and remained in the beautiful state for a number of years. Olympic sent me to the North Slope in Prudhoe Bay, Deadhorse, Point Barrow, Point Lay, as well as Dutch Harbor and King Cove.

I returned to the Lower 48 and started my own construction business as a General Contractor, specializing in custom homes, remodels, and small commercial projects, while developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors. This is where I was introduced to Krekow Jennings. During this time, I had subcontracted with KJ and got to know the employees, and realized this is what I want to do and who I want to be. I formally joined the KJ team in 1992. I am a very honest, transparent, ethical, creative, open communicator who thrives to achieve homeowners’ dreams and goals. It is not coincidental that my long-standing KJ family and myself share the same values.
